They could have still gotten Rosen from Cards for practically nothing. Rosen is a better prospect than this guy.

Honestly, have you studied tape on him to determine your own opinion, or going off other people? We have no idea how Jones will pan out. He may be a bust, he may be a HOF. SO many "cant miss" guys, miss. And then every draft mid round or undrafted guys become Pro Bowlers. If he's the guy they liked as the franchise QB of the future, you take him. Everyone was screaming at Gettleman for not taking a QB last year, and that he better take one this year, and now he does. Some scouts had Jones as the QB1 in this draft, though some had him the 4-5 range. Let's see what happens before we throw a fit.

And for what itβs worth, last year and this year, DG has drafted well, even if you donβt like the Jones pick. He got 3 defensive starters so far this draft.

Sorry RR, but some fans think this pick was just a guess for the Giants, like they put names in a hat. Just like the Knick, fans were going crazy when the Knicks picked Kristaps Porzingis. Who turned out to be the best player on the Knicks and a All Star Foward. Don't you think the GM, the scouts, and the coach and staff studied this kid one hell of alot more then any fan did. They knew what, and why they wanted this kid. And right now I put my faith in their. Judgment than any fans. Give the kid a break and see how he develops in the NFL under Eli before you count them out.

And believe me I not only wanna be wrong about this kid, I hope like hell I'm very wrong about him. But I guess it's kinda hard not to get caught up in the tidal wave of negative reactions that took place immediately after the Giants selected him. Kudos to you and a few others who resisted it.

Your the best RR, and I like it better when we agree with things, but sometimes we just have to agree to disagree, that's what good friends do. And you are a good friend. I could be wrong too, but I want to wait first. We are good pal π

As a Skins fan,i was thrilled Haskins dropped all the way to 15.Thought the Giants did well drafting, but didnt like Jones at 6.He had pretty average stats over his college career compared to the other qb's in the draft. Not to say he wont become a good quality starter, but he has his work cut out for him

For me, I'm not judging him based on stats at Duke, rather the skillset he brings. He's got great size, can move in the pocket, has a solid arm. Of course there are plenty of QBs that fit that mold and never amount to anything but I'm not going to be down on him because his numbers didn't jump off the stat sheet. From the tape that I've seen, I'm excited to see how he performs at the next level. I think he has the tools to be a good QB at the next level.

Im judging him from personal experience, watching him over 5 times in his career in person, not just stats. He has skills, but will it translate is of course the obvious question.

The bottom line is none of us know what kind of QB Jones will be until he takes the field and shows what he can (and can't) do.

I just can't believe some Giants Fans. Most Yankee fans are Giant Fans, just like most Met Fans are Jet Fans, that's just the way it is. Last nights Yankee game against Tampa at Yankee Stadium, Daniel Jones was there. And when they showed him on the Big Screen, they booed him real loud. IMO, they are a bunch of Fucking First Class Ass Holes. Now I know many Giant fans didn't like the Giants Pick. But that's not the kids fault, if they showed the Giants GM and they booed, ok. But to treat and kick this young kid in the ass, in front of a sold out crowed in New York, and who knows how many people on TV, is a disgrace and shameful. I hope and pray he sticks it right up all their Ass. What a shameful by New York Giants fans. What a confidence-builder that is for the kid. It realy SUCKS.
