Artemi Panarin is riding a season-opening point streak of 14 games (8G-16A), tied for the longest such streak by a Rangers player in team history ( Rod Gilbert - 14-game run in 1972-73). It is also Panarin’s longest point streak of his career and the longest for a Ranger since Theo Fleury (14 GP) during the 2000-01 season. The last Ranger to have points in 15-straight games was Wayne Gretzky (15 GP) in 1996-97. Panarin also has multiple points in 4-straight contests. Panarin can be the first Rangers skater with at least 5 straight multi-point games since Jaromir Jagr (6 GP in 2005-06). Panarin became the 8th player in Rangers history to reach the 20-point mark in a season in 12 or fewer games, joining Pavel Bure (11 GP in 2001-02), Carey Wilson (11 GP in 1988-89), Walt Poddubny (11 GP in 1986-87), Rod Gilbert (11 GP in 1972-73), Jaromir Jagr (12 GP in 2006-07), Frank Boucher (12 GP in 1929-30) and Bill Cook (12 GP in 1929-30). Panarin ranks among the best in the NHL in multiple categories.

Chris Kreider has 10 goals on the season and has tied Vic Hadfield (11 from 1963-64 – 1973-74) for the 2nd-most consecutive 10-goal campaigns by a Rangers skater. Only Rod Gilbert (15 from 1962-63 – 1976-77) has more. Kreider has goals in 5 of his last 6 contests and his 10 goals on the year rank tied for 9th in the NHL. Kreider has surpassed Andy Bathgate for the 4th most goals in team history (273) and is 5 goals away from matching Adam Graves for the 3rd most in team history (280). Kreider sits 2 power play goals away from becoming the 5th player in franchise history to reach 100 PPGs. His 8 shorthanded goals since 2021-22 are the most in the NHL while his 40 power play goals in that span are the 2nd most.

That's a BULLSHIT CALL on that first Devil's goal. COUNTLESS TIMES we've seen similar plays when the call was a NO-GOAL, because the officials "INTENDED TO BLOW THE WHISTLE" So what the fuck is THAT tonight? They blew the whistle. That SHOULD mean the play is DEAD, no matter what happens next, no?
From my point of view, the officials AND Toronto use these "rules" as they want to, however they want to, whenever they want to.

So....if a puck goes in before the whislte blows the refs can rule it no goal and if it goes in after the whistle blows they can call it a goal. Officiating in the NHL gets worse and worse by the day.
Why do they even bother to put these blind morons out there?
The integrity of the game is at stake but with Buttman around no one gives a fuck.

Jesus, they couldn't bring Shesterkin back against someone that wasn't a rival? C'mon Shesty, both goals allowed are embarrassing. Better get your head back in it quick, or you will be replaced with Quick.

You knew they were going to find a way to give that goal to the Devils, however, that should've never got through Shesterkin. Shesty single handedly is keeping the Devils in it.

Well, looks like the Rangers are going to have to beat the Devils AND the refs tonight, if they want these two points.

The way the NHL is having these games officiated is literally turning the game into a clown show. The Huges goal was bullshit and the no call on lingren was an absolute fucking joke. Even the no call on Trocheck was lame to be fair. Does the league want to protect players or do they want them to get concussed ? Their actions don't match their words!

How do you from a 5 minute major to no penalty at all. He hit him square on the jaw and rose up as he was about to hit him. It seems every game there's something with refs.

Game Observations 1) This team doesn't give up. 2) They're getting contributions from everyone. 3) Shesterkin shook the rust off after the first period.
