COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS at NEW YORK RANGERS
Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 7:05pm EST
The Columbus Blue Jackets face the New York Rangers with both teams on opposite ends of the Eastern Conference to begin this season. The Blue Jackets have a 4-7-3 record and with 2 losses in a row, they are in last place in the Metropolitan Division. The Rangers have a 10-2-1 record and with back-to-back wins, they have the best record in the Metropolitan Division.
The Rangers are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.31 goals per game.
Artemi Panarin and Chris Kreider have scored 17 goals and 17 assists to lead the top line but the entire offense has been great.
Mika Zibanejad, Alexis Lafreniere, and Vincent Trocheck have combined for 11 goals and 18 assists.
Erik Gustafsson and K’Andre Miller have added 4 goals and 12 assists.
The Rangers' defense has been one of the best in the league, allowing only 2.08 goals per game including only 4 goals in the last 2 games.
Miller and Gustafsson have combined for 2.5 defensive point shares and 33 blocked shots while Jacob Trouba, Ryan Lindgren, and Braden Schneider have combined for 2.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit.

Sam just said the Rangers are FIRST in the division and Columbus is LAST.
This is when KILLER INSTINCT needs to kick in and exploit this team, especially after Columbus played yesterday.

That was a bullshit call. The game should be tied 3-3 right now.
May justice reign heavy in the 3rd with the Rangers tying, taking the lead and running with two more points.

Once again the puck was in the net and the Rangers get hosed by the NHL Bunch of crooked scumbags! That being said, the Rangers better wake the fuck up. No way they should be losing to this team.

Game Observations 1) They're finding ways to get points when it looks bad. 2) For some reason they're having a tough time with Columbus and this goalie. 3) On a lot of their shots the goalie had a clear view. There weren't many lose puck scrums around him. 4) They couldn't score on their power play chances. 5) Lafreniere is starting to look like a top pick.

Yes, the Rangers turned the puck over a lot more than usual combined with Columbus playing like they were a contender (not to mention they had another goal taken away from them by the NHL), but they stuck with it. Laffy comes through big, ties the game, then wins it in OT! with the shootout goal, he had a hat trick.

I hope Lindgren isn't out long.

Refs did everything they could to screw over the Rangers in this game. Unbelievable. On a positive note, we still won. What a game by Laffy, two goals and the shootout winner. Fingers crossed on Lindgren. We can ill-afford to lose him.

Maybe Columbus is Bettman's new favorite team?
Otherwise....can't understand the shitty referring in this one.
Great game by Laffy.
Did Wheeler dress for this one?

I had that feeling coming in the Jackets were going to give us trouble, again.
1. Hit the net Mika! What was it, about six one timers that went wide? 2. Feel for Cuylie. The intent was to blow the play dead? Are you serious? How much time do you need when there is intent to blow the play dead? Usually that takes less than a second. Doesn't matter the puck was in from the get go. 3. Long break will help Ryan. I hope. 4. Quick has been absolutely marvelous. 5. Action packed OT thriller.

Laffy has some confidence going now carrying the puck a little more shooting I was on him this season so far but hope he keeps up the good work still needs to work on his foot speed a little but at least we’re seeing what he could become , cuyle reminds me of Dubinsky a little ,hard working gets in front of the net good speed decent skill set not afraid to take or give a hit , kakko might be the odd man out soon
