One of the few mistakes from Cuylle cost us, but we responded back. Much better effort than that debacle the other night.

Game Observations 1) There was a lot more life and urgency in their game. 2) It was a good game for Quick to play because Seattle isn't a strong offensive team and he played well. 3) Lafreniere and Kakko both scoring is a good sign. 4) It was one of the rare aggressive outbursts by Kreider.

I liked that game for numerous reasons. The Rangers were much better overall than they were against Nashville, Quick was pretty good in goal, the defense didn't give up many high quality scoring chances, Laffy and Kakko found the net, Chytil was flying, and the Rangers engaged in some rough stuff in the 3rd period. Good start to the road trip.

Obviously the Jekyll and Hyde act will be a season long thing. We're never going to know which version of the team shows up.

It was a win against a team with 1 win and 11gf , so the rangers did there job in that regard beat a team they should beat I’m definitely not jumping thru hoops

But when we lose the world is about to end. I won't be jumping thru hoops, but I'm happy with the effort, Quick, and the contributions from our young players. Pretty clear to me this team isn't going anywhere unless our youth executes.

Hiring Peca is paying off so far. Rangers now are ranked second in the NHL with 55.7% in face offs wins.
Also have allowed the fewest shots on goal per game at 23.8.
