Opening game of the 2023/24 season for the Rangers. Step one of erasing the stink of how the Rangers season ended last year. Hopefully our new coach Peter Laviolette will get this team in line and play the type of hockey that we all want to see this team play. The subplots of the season will be the play of Laffy. If he doesn't show more than what we've seen from him the past few season, there is no reason for the Rangers to hang on to him. It's all up to him now. I'm not very confident in having Jonathan Quick as Igor's backup. I'm looking forward to seeing prospect Will Cuylle in the lineup as well as new veterans Blake Wheeler, Erik Gustafsson, Tyler Pitlik, and Nick Bonino. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!!!  |

This season, I'm taking the let's-see-how-things-play-out-on-the-ice approach. It matters not what any of our hopes, dreams, positive and negative views and speculations are.
I will simply watch because I love the sport and because I'm curious about how things will unfold with this roster and new coaching staff. I'm DONE hoping. DONE.

I don't know about you that felt like the longest 5 1/2 months of my life waiting for beginning of this season. Based on how the Yankees and NY Giants are doing, I pray that the Rangers show me better this season than the other 2 teams. Despite their record this preseason, I think this team will shape up as they play Lavy's system. I like the lines Lavy is using tonight. Hopefully, he will stick to them. I love that he's not afraid to put Trochek on a line with Cuylle and Wheeler (by the way, I think that could be a kick ass 3rd line going forward). I'm ready for this. LGR!!!!!

Definitely like the start! Laffy with the 1st goal of the year off beautiful passing by Panarin and Chytil, plus a nice steal by Chytil.  back Fil! missed you during preseason. |

Good start. Hopefully, they'll carry it over into the 2nd. Yes. Things started picking up physically toward the end of the 1st period. Gotta make sure we match that and keep getting shots. The Rangers were also pretty good defensively in the 1st period. Igor didn't have to stand on his head. |

If they can keep that similarity all season, they're going to win alot of games knowing who's between the pipes. |
