Well, it's game 6 and the Rangers are inexplicably down 3 games to 2 after winning the first 2 in convincing fashion. And as usual, the Rangers always find a way to let teams up off the canvas when they have them down. I have nothing else to say about it except that I'm pissed off. Even if we win tonight, I am not jumping up and down. I'll be out tonight so I won't be commenting during the game. Enjoy the game. Let's see what happens.

Well, that was about as dreadful as they come until the last 2 minutes. WE came out tentative and SCARED.
Giving myself props for how Gallant change the PP units. Actually, it was predictable. With Kane on the second PP unit, they have a player who can enter the zone most times. Mika now can hit his patented one timers.

The Devils speed has got them scared shitless. They looked like deer caught in headlights. Just keep it simple, skate hard and play your game.

The 4th line has been uncharacteristically bad this game. Igor is keeping them in it.

Game Observations
1) Did they save their season or just prolong the agony? Which team shows up on Monday?
2) Now Schmid has something to think about going into the pressure of a game seven.
3) They've got to slow the Devils down in the neutral zone.

Point 1 is the big question. I wish I had confidence going into Monday but it is a compete mystery! Not sure what the hell we are going to see. So for now I am going to enjoy my Sunday and worry about Monday on Monday |

Number 1 is the big question. Yeah, which Ranger team shows up on Monday. Another observation is that Panarin has become absolutely useless. He did a disappearing act in the playoffs last season and he's playing even worse in this year's playoffs. He can't hit the net to save his life, bobbling pucks, muffing shots, turnovers, you name it. I don't know what the fuck is going on with this guy but he had damn well better get his act together and start putting some pucks in the net. |

Have to say I am hard on kreider all the time he did show up to play last night , with that said he’s one of many that can’t seem to show up every night , as far as panarian if he’s gonna stay a ranger they should just shut him down after the regular season

Focusing in on Bread during the last minute. He clearly wanted an empty netter. Whatever happened before doesn't matter. We need him Monday night. The lineup changes should help him too. Watching Kane and him together creates problems for both of them and the team.

Any weakness in the machinery will be exposed, and right now we are seeing who and what the weaknesses are. |

If you didn't watch the game, the score can be deceiving. Devils were all over them for the most part, and as I mentioned last night Igor saved their bacon with a number of point blank saves. Devils speed is giving them huge problems all over the ice. Our d-men are having trouble pinching in, and when they do it's an odd man rush the other way. But it's now game 7 where anything can happen and with Schmid allowing 5, going into a game 7 him being a rookie might play with his head. I thought the Rangers found a weakness in his game shooting glove side, high or low(above the pad). They just gotta keep it simple shoot from every angle with traffic in front of him and hope for the best. As far the Ranger physicality disappearing this last few games, it's b/c the Devils are flying in all 3 zones, can't hit what you can't catch.

If Igor doesn't make just a few of those stellar saves, the Rangers could be on the golf course right now. I'm not fooled by the final score in the least. Yeah, the Rangers won to force a game 7 but we have our work cut out for us. We better tighten things up and the players who haven't been stepping up need to step up. (Yeah, I'm talking to you Breadman, Laffy, Kakko, Kane, etc) |

I did think it was strange of Ferraro to state the rangers played their best game of the series with a few minutes to go last night. Unless he meant it for the fact we won with our backs against the wall. I swear, our first period looked so tentative that it felt like it was an Ahl team playing against an NHL team. Somehow we overcame that dreadful start to turn it around. Listen, after game 4 I felt it was going 7 games. I'd much rather win a game 6 then a game 5.
