The Rats are in total control even though it's only a 1 goal game. Rangers back to east west hockey, not hitting much, PP has been shit after scoring 4 in the 1st 2 games, looking for that extra pass, 5 on 5 is nonexistent, they look slow and lazy, no fucking urgency.

Rangers always insist on doing things the hard way. We were cruising and in control of the series the first 2 games, then they blow it in game 3 (I knew they would) and now it seems like we have lost all of our momentum since then.

Game Observations
1) Devils have upped their speed game and the Rangers can't match it. Rangers can't hit what they can't catch.
2) Devils are smothering the Rangers on offense. Schmid doesn't have to do much except stand big in the net.
3) Rangers lost a lot of the battles along the boards.
4) The power play has gone south.
5) The veteran players need a gut check. Lots of no shows.

Their compete level made this game feel like a preseason game, pathetic.

Lots of no shows. I'll sum it up. The Rangers did this to themselves. They find themselves in this situation because they blew it in game 3. The swamprats were demoralized and overwhelmed after the first two games after the Rangers bumrushed them and outscored them 10-2 in two games. We let them off the hook and now here we with the series tied 2-2. Never should have happened, we had them right were we wanted them and we could have stepped on their necks. But as usual, the Rangers always find a way to blow it and make things as hard as possible for themselves. |

I was out last night and didn't get back to watch the game until 7 minutes remaining in the 3rd. From what I've read here - and from listening to Gallant's comments - seems like it was a good one to miss.  |
