Nick Foligno signed a 2-year, $7.6 million contract (average annual value $3.8 million) with the Boston Bruins.
Boston just got a whole lot better.
Smart move for Foligno to get the hell out of Toronto. Yeah - and I think he's a perfect fit for the Bruins. The fans and his teammates are going to love him.
Great player, great leader. Tough motherfucker. I always liked him.

That’s a good contract for STL. I thought Saad would get 5-6 mil per. He’s got some Kreider in him too. Can dominate but also disappears. Though I would say Chris is a more complete player.

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Zach Werenski to a 6-year, $57.5 million contract extension Thursday through the 2027-28 season.
The 24-year-old Werenski has 65 goals and 124 assists in 335 career NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets. He has 4 goals and 9 assists in 29 playoff games.

Werenski is pretty good, but I think people are way too down on Seth Jones. CBJ will miss him. They’ve lost every one of their franchise guys recently, they need to overpay to keep players away from hitting the market.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed free-agent forward Nick Ritchie to a 2-year contract worth an annual average value of $2.5 million US.
Ritchie had 26 points on 15 goals and 11 assists in 56 regular season games with the Boston Bruins last season. He added a goal and 3 assists in 11 playoff games.
