Taylor Hall just signed a four-year, $24 million contract (average annual value $6 million) this past Friday, five days before he could have become a UFA.

MAF is obviously still a damn good goalie but he's no spring chicken. If trading him was in Vegas's best interests, then that's what they needed to do. |

I'm not quite sure what exactly it is that he has said that he should keep his mouth shut about. Tony D is an unapologetic conservative and Trump supporter, and he let's his opinions be known. Last time I checked, we still have 1st Amendment rights and freedom of speech. For fucks sake, we have professional athletes who openly disrespect the flag and the national anthem. |

The lack of civics understanding on this board is astounding sometimes. The First Amendment prevents the government from throwing your ass in JAIL for anything (almost) you might say. It is not binding on individuals, private employers, sports leagues, etc.
You can say pretty much whatever you want without getting arrested but there are consequences if you piss people off and they can retaliate against you.
We really do need to start teaching civics in school again.

Luckily the Rangers have so much depth on the blueline that we didn't even miss him. |
