The fact that Drury got more than a bag of pucks (a 4th round pick in 2022) for Howden is amazing, despite the player not signing with the Rangers when he hits free agency |

I thought you were Fudgie for Howden ? I wouldn't call it fudgie, but yes, I defended him a few times during the middle of the season, but I pretty much stopped that towards the end of the year. He wasn't rewarding me for my loyalty.
When I said steal, I was referring to the Goodrow acquisition.

I love what Drury has done so far.Goodrow was the exact type we needed in the bottom 6 and a great penalty killer who steps up in big games

We’ve only acquired the rights to negotiate with Goodrow. We have a week or so to sign him or he hits the market. The problem is he’s reportedly looking for 6 years. I like him as a player but you cannot be giving a 4th line guy that kind of contract. Anything more than 4/12 is an overpay.

I am SO happy that Howden is gone. An addition by subtraction move if there ever was one, and to get a 4th rounder for him makes is that much sweeter. And acquiring the rights to Goodrow was another terrific move by Drury. Hopefully we can get him signed, but if not it only cost us a 7th round pick. I'll take that any day of the week.
