Citing family health concerns he made a wise decision. I hope more follow him. These prof sports owners are prioritizing bucks over safety and health.

I feel he is playing us,got his retirement money and is pulling a Trumaine Johnson.Guy sat out the basically the whole season with a groin pull.Come on,I've had them,3-to 5 weeks and I was good to go. I don't look at it as you do Lucky,he's young, genetically gifted, unless he likes to go out to bars after games, like the Marlins did in Slut infested Philly.I don't think they are that exposed during games but practice time if someone is infected. I think he is a bum, plain and simple.Thats my take as of now.

Your view comes across as rather cynical. Why would you discount the possibility he is the family man who prioritizes what is most important to him as would be the case for any other responsible, loving individual for that matter. Genetically gifted? Were mom, dad or both highly skilled athletes? Did the Marlins frequent the bars in Philly or did one of the affected staff members go out for a cup of coffee and bring back the virus to the hotel or other group accomodations? We're all in the dark regarding this plague.
Your conclusion that Mosley is a bum 'as of now' is backward thinking Supe. It appears you're declaring him guilty of freeloading or reckless activity before learning of any facts or further details of his family concerns.
I respect your experience with groin pulls but what about their degrees of severity or groin tears? In my opinion until we know all the details and facts, Mosley's decision should be respected. UPDATE: After reading further I see the degree of Mosley's groin condition was so severe it required surgery which was season ending.
This news is most unfortunate for the Jets and their fans but frankly as far as I am concerned they shouldn't be playing the up coming season and not do so until we're all immune from Covid-19. That may take time, but considering the possible long term adverse effects of this virus on the young and lives that are presently on the line, its time worth taking.

85 million he can do what Sam Darnold and alot of his teammates do. Get an apartment and live alone. Hell I'm doing it on 1700 hundred a month.Give me that money I'd run naked through a burning fire. I've seen too many dogs come through here and call me whatever that's what I believe. When one pro player dies or family member then I will change my opinion. Driving drunk at 110mph with a gun in your car is more likely to get you killed then cov19.I'm sorry but I also think alot of people like Cespedes are using this as a excuse.

Getting an apartment and living alone isn't going to reduce the risk a football player exposes himself to when he is on the practice field let alone an actual game. In particular players who's success depends on heavy contact are most vulnerable. Their breathing is heavy and droplets many. Mosley is that vulnerable player.
"When a pro player or family member dies that is when I'll change my opinion." Good sense should tell you my friend, that is exactly what Mosley is trying to prevent. Whatever dogs you're talking about are irrelevant to this case. Each and every one contain their own context and sit in a vacuum. I'm sure you read my response to you regarding the Cespedes case on the Mets forum. It is quite clear he packed his bags and quit, suddenly using the fear of the Virus as a convenient excuse without informing his Mates or employer.

So,I'm still looking at this as a guy playing the system. In a FB wounded warrior event he said that he was going to use this time to find the flame again. He gets 10 million plus 150 for opting out.Still to be determined if he gets the family medical reason and a 350,000. He's 29,his cap hit is pushed back a that's 12 million next year, after being out 2 full yrs he will not likely get cut because of that. How many 30 yr old middle linebackers are earning their contract? Bobby Wagner that's it. So J.Douglas can only hope this guy comes back after an injury and not playing for two years. Highly unlikely. J.Douglas has been trying to rid himself of the bad McCagnan contracts,Johnson,Bell Mosley. Josh Dotson opt out too.A ist round receiver that now just made it easier for one of the UEFA to make it. I hope you try to understand where I'm coming from.I see a Cespedes type thing here.Basically a guy knowing it is over for him and he's stinging the system along.

Just saw a picture of him on NY Jets reddit. Sitting in a bar, crowed, drinking,no mask on watching the tv in Alabama. So much for his family concerns.

We are the worst team in the NFL.
It's offical. We are competing with the Giants for Trevor Lawrence.Strength of schedule is in our favour. Both head coach and DC are doing a lousey job, don't know if it's intentional or as their records indicate they aren't winners.

Sad to say Sam Darnold has been shell shocked and doesn't nearly resemble the confident, wonderfully talented kid I saw at USC. This is what a slip shod Organization can do to what should be a stellar career. Adam Gase is just who he is. That being an aloof, emotionless, energyless divisive force that can't jell Jello let alone a group of men! His teams take the field disassembled and unprepared to play each and every week.
Though I respect Joe Douglas he doesn't come away unscathed here. That said it is no coincidence his players go down with hamstring and other lingering injuries regularly. Proper physical preparation and conditioning regimen can somewhat mitigate loss of personnel. I sense Gase wanders off during his practices turning what should be boot camp into a country club gathering. He was the wrong coaching hire from day 1!
I'd prefer seeing Sam be given more time to reach his stride, but it may be too late for him to do it in green and white with their lousy culture. If they have the opportunity to select Trevor Lawrence they'd better introduce him to an entirely new coaching staff. Even he could suffer what looks like the same fate Sam Darnold is headed for as a NY Jet if he's encumbered with an Adam Gase type environment.
