Don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya! We're all trying to adjust to living let alone playing football under these lousy circumstances. Douglas and his Jets are doing their best to formulate an operational future Cap structure with plenty of uncertainty surrounding them. Evidently you have a significant problem with narcissism. Have you given one thought toward TEAM or exhibited any empathy regarding Douglas' plight during a Pandemic no less? What more can he do at this time other than explicitly state he wants to make you a Jet for life? No doubt you're arguably the best Strong Safety in the NFL today. That said your attitude stinks and comes across a bit too selfish and sensitive for long term stardom in a team sport.
This is not a ME sport fella! You're one of eleven performers who must pull on the same rope to succeed. As far as I'm concerned you're conduct is well beyond suggesting exhibition of patience. You're merely a cog in a wheel,albeit a strong one that nonetheless can be replaced. If you slap yourself on the side of your foolish head and 'see' the circumstances we're all in perhaps you'll realize this is NOT the time to pressure your Front Office into making a mistake that you and your mates will pay for in the long run.
Then again maybe we'll be better off without ya after all will be said and done!
