Now Stanton is injured again(i know..shocking)-strained his calf during fielding drills. His status for opening day is doubtful. What a disaster this guy has turned into.Bubblewrap his ass if he ever gets healthy again, stick a bat in his hand and tell him his playing in the field days are over with I always felt he was a Great HR hitter but I don't see it anywhere else with this guy. this guy was signed for 13 years at 325 million in late 2014. 9 more years with this guy at 25 mil a year. We will never unload this guy and we are stuck with him just like A-Hole!

Look at Andujar last year. Tore a muscle diving into third.
I still have this feeling that these guys are way too pumped up. In the old days players would not think of lifting weights because they didn't want to get muscle-bound. You know when you can hit a ball 400 feet there is precious little point to trying to hit it 401 feet. Take Judge. All he ever has to do is flick his wrists and the ball flies out to right. He doesn't have to swing like a maniac. These guys are all trying to one-up each other.
After a game Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford headed for a bar.... not a weight room.

His first year in 2018, He hit 38 HR's, with 102 RBIs and 100 Runs scored. 34 Doubles. I will take him on my team any day. Injuries happen. The last few years he was not the only one with injuries on this team. Yankees have been having too much if this.

It is not getting injured that is the problem. It is the constant occurrences of injuries that I find Problematic. He is the Type of player and has the type of physique that is prone to the kind of injuries he gets. It will only get worse over time as he ages and 8 years at 26 mil per is a long time. I know the Yankees did not give him that deal but they gladly took it off the Marlins hands. I like Stanton and he is a great guy and when he is on he is great at the plate and will knock the cover off the ball. I just worry about his durability long term and hope he makes the adjustments to his game to better prevent injuries and increase his durability.

The Yankees whining about money is like the ocean whining about water. Stanton should DH. At the best of times he is no gazelle in the outfield and it looks as if Frazier is recovered from his concussion issues and then there is Andujar.
I bet a lot of teams would like to have the Yanks' problems.

I bet a lot of teams would like to have the Yanks' problems. I was not suggesting anyone was crying about his salary including the Yankees. I was just simply stating 8 more years at 26 mil per is quite rich for a guy who will only swing the bat 3 or 4 times a game when not injured.

Take a look at this and see if the flaw in Stanton's thinking pops out at you.
Who was that pitcher they had some years ago? The one who literally sprained his ass?
