It's a shame Cole will be faced with questions tomorrow when he enters his first Yankees camp on this, rather than it being all about his new deal and 2020. Cole should not have to answer to much, He was a pitcher and he bolted the first chance he got. This whole cheating scandal revolves around the offensive side of the Team. All this new chatter is a result of the Yankees and Dodgers speaking about the scandal more in the past couple weeks. That is largely due to the Media is pushing the issue and asking them about it in every interview. There are a lot of people and fans that are angry that these guys got caught that want payback. Assbro fans been talking a lot of smack the last several years and the same goes for Boston. This has to be stinging them real hard. At this stage and all this time it is safe to say the cheaters got caught and exposed. The players should all get the boot as well but they won't so there will never be proper justice served for this. Cheating is cheating but I guess in this new kinder and more gentle world we live in there must be different degrees of cheating now.

But with the news coming the night before his arrival, and NY media being NY media, it's surely gonna come up. They are not on the same level as Cole but the Mets have JD Davis and Jake Marisnick, who were on that 2017 team. It's going to be a story that travels around the league with a bunch of teams that had no direct involvement. I can't wait for the season to start and the focus to be on 2020. And even if Beltran was the ring leader, everyone involved should have to face the consequences, even if it's just being named and backlash from public opinion. It's not fair that only a few had to fall on their swords for a organizational issue.

lol... How am I hating on the Yankees exactly? By Saying I don't believe Beltran first started cheating in 2017? Or is it by saying I'm not accusing the Yankees of anything? It is also possible and likely that this came about after Beltran, Hinch and Cora all started working together. They might have been 3 different people who came together to find that they all thought alike in that regard. Sometimes things come about and start from a combination of people. It is what they call a toxic relationship where as when certain people get together bad things usually happen.

Combination of both and adding on that you are a Met Fan. But I will give you a pass, because you are proberbly a real nice guy, when you don't have your Met Hat on.

I don't think Beltran was banging trash cans throughout his career, but I do believe he took part in something. MLB continued to change rules in recent years as teams were pushing boundaries with replay rooms and sign stealing. They were finding out about teams acting shady and had to adjust. Keep in the mind the part from the article that I shared which says Beltran told Houston they were "behind the times" with this stuff. I'd be curious what happens next. Does Beltran come out and blow this all up or do more players/coaches reveal the insider info.

It seems to be a widely used tactic in the Media, Politics and sports these days. On the eve of one event that will make news another bombshell gets dropped to take away from it. As I said, a lot of people have sore asses over this and are pissed off that their teams got popped. It makes perfect sense that the parties involved would be trying to throw shade on the Yankees. Probably something to do with either a Assbro, Boston, Met or Beltran fan stirring up some shit!

I honestly don't believe the timing of the report is directed towards the Yankees, especially since they aren't making any accusations about the Yankees in it. Cole would face these questions regardless to whether today's report came out or not. But The Athletic certainly waited to dropped this report with all teams reporting this week - that is no coincidence. There's a lot of former Astros across the league in 2020, and this will be the talk of all camps tomorrow AM.
