Congradulations to a great Yankee. What I want to know who is the scumbag that didn't vote for him?
Who ever this writer is that was the only one to not vote for Jeter, besides being a Yankee Hater, which there are many, is a complete ASS Hole, and a coward hiding behind his or her anonymity

Not taking anything away from Jeter, this is absolutely a knock on the writers who have messed up the system, but when looking at all the HOFers and past results, he does not deserve to be only the 2nd player with 100% votes. Again, nothing against Jeter who I of course agree with being in Cooperstown, it's the voters have continued to repeat the mistakes from previous years instead of fixing this. Every year there should be guys elected with 100% of the votes. The HOF should change their voting system, well at least their integrity. Also, I heard it on WFAN last night, why does MLB even release the voting %? Do what NFL does, either he's in or he's not, who cares how many votes a player gets? Making it is all that counts.

Well if you listen to WFAN aka WMET. You are not going to get any positives about the Yankees, You can bet the Bank if They had a vote it would be NO for Jeter or anyone in Yankee Pinstripes. And I totally disagree with you on Jeter not deserving a unanimous vote. There are Yankee haters all over. One of the greatest players of all time. Joe DiMaggio, never was voted in on the first ballot. And Phil Rizzuto, only got voted in on the old timers ballot. They never voted him in for many years.

Listening to WFAN has nothing to do w Jeter. That was about the idea of not sharing voting % results and just stating whether a player was in or not.
Jeter should’ve been an unanimous vote. But he does not deserve to be only the second player to receive that honor. My point was that the voters have messed up over the years. Many players should be unanimously voted in.

Ok, I see your point. Its valid. I just have no use for WFAN. Years ago, I was a loyal listener. Spoke with Steve Sommers, who was a big Ranger and Yankee Fan, many times. He was good friends with a friend in my section up in the Blues. We invited him to a Ranger game to sit with us. We had a blast. But I haven't listen to that station for many years. It's so pro Mets and anti bias Yankees. And when it comes to hockey, except for Boomer Esiason, they wouldn't know the difference between ,a blue line and a Clothes Line. In,the good old days there was Art Rust Jr. Talk Sports show. A great guy.

Holy Shit tuffleshuffle, you almost got by me with this Jeter posts by you. There were a few things that made me think. Mostly you quoting WFAN. And then reading into your take on Jeter. So I said to myself, what kind of a fan are you.
And low and behold, I see all your post on the Met Forum.
So you are not even a Yankee Fan or a real Jeter Fan. You are a Met Fan. Your WFAN aka WMET gave you away tuffleshuffle.

They were hating on the voters and the process they've ruined.

At least you didn't use that cliche, I am a New York Fan. But what made me think was when said: "My point was that the voters have messed up over the years. Many players should be unanimously voted in." Who are they? I have no problem you are a Met Fan, just surprised you didn't say you are? You have talked on the Yankee Forum many times. Bottom Line I enjoyed talking to you. I know if I went on the Met Forum (which won't happen) But if I did. I would identify myself as a Yankee fan. But that's just me. I respect your views and to talk with you more. LETS GO YANKEES 😃

Didn't think it was necessary to identify which team I root for. If i was speaking Mets vs Yankees, that'd be one thing. But not hiding it either, LETS GO METS!
I think there's a very long list of guys I would say should receive 100% of the vote. I think you're either a Hall of Famer or you're not. Some years there are limitations because ballots get full, I understand that. But this year only 2 guys made it. If players such as Schilling, Bonds, Clemens, Helton are eventually going to make it, why play this game and wait? Put them in now. Whether you think they should get in is a different argument, but using them as example since they were on the recent ballot.
But looking back, I would think Griffey Jr, Tom Seaver, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan all should've been 100% voted in. Staying with the Yankees, don't you think Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle deserved 100% of the votes? The system is messed up, I hate that writers have all this power.
I'll probably be here less once the season starts as I'll have plenty to complain about on the Mets boards, but always fun talking shop w the enemy.

Look forward to talking to you again, especially during the season when the Mets and Yankees play each other 👍
