That's a metric fuckton of money and I'm glad I'm not paying it but it will be nice to see him in pinstripes.

Money is no object to the Yankees and no Yankee fan should ever be concerned. As long as our Rotation gets better and where it needs to be that is all that matters. They should get Baumgartner from Frisco just to screw up any other competition. Glad they signed Gardener but I am sad to see Didi go. He was a good Yankee and had a tough job to fill.

I am very Happy about getting what was so desperately needed. A real Top Notch Ace. I could care less what it cost. After Strasburg's signing, that's the market value. I love this, it's about time.

What did Betances pitch last year? One inning? Two? They did alright without him. Romine is a bigger loss but I can see where he wants his shot at the #1 job and wish him well. He was the best back up catcher in baseball.

I say hell with Betances and go bag some other big name pitchers. We have a powerhouse of a line up and now we just need a complete powerhouse starting rotation to go with our already stacked bullpen.
Outbid them all Cashman and Spend Spend Spend!

Starting Rotation us the key. Yankees need to go for it all this season. It's long over due.

Starting Rotation us the key. Yankees need to go for it all this season. It's long over due. Bring Back the Days of King George and suck up all the talent. This is the Yankees we are talking about and we don't need to bother ourselves over petty little issues like money. We got more money then the Vatican and at this point should have our own currency. This is why I pay $15.00 for a Hot Dog and $9.00 for a bottle of water. So I can see a winner and if it Cost Me $20.00 for a water dog and $12.00 for a bottle of water so be it. So go and spend that Money Cashman, You go on, you go on and git. And don't come home until you got them all!

I also thought of something a long time ago and always forget to mention it. I go to a few Yankee games a year because it is the only thing you can bring your family to without spending $1,200.00. We should line up some games to all meet at. I know we thought about it with the Rangers but Yankee Stadium is another option because of higher capacity and more games and makes it not only cheaper but easier to schedule and have access to.

Oh I am all in on that Dan. And to quote Humphrey Bogart: "A hot dog at the game beats roast beef at the Ritz." Would be great to get together for a Yankee Game, for the reasons you mentioned. A nice Saturday, Sunday, day game, or even during the week day game. Lets talk more about it when the season starts and maybe after Ranger Hockey.

I have to say there is one thing that worries me with the signing of Gerrit Cole.
Has nothing to do with Cole, but I worry about how a great pitcher like him with all his great stuff will affect him with a Sanchez behind the plate?
Pitchers like Cole need to have confidence in his catcher. Personally, I myself, don't have much confidence in Sanchez's defense. A pitcher like Cole needs to know he can trust his catcher can handle his stuff in certain situations in the balls and strike counts.
